David R. Damm, AIF®
David is the co-founder of Carolina Wealth Management, Inc. He is a senior investment advisor to individuals and the Chair of Carolina Wealth's Investment Committee.
David is certified as an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF), by the Center for Fiduciary Studies in association with the University of Pittsburgh's Center for Executive Education. AIF designees are trained in investment fiduciary responsibility and portfolio management.
In 2006, David served as a member of the TD Ameritrade Operations Panel. This panel helps to shape TD Ameritrade's strategic direction, service and technology to all of its advisors and clients across the country.
That same year, David was appointed to the City of Greenville's Investment Advisory Committee. The committee assists in developing and evaluating investment strategies for the investment committee. David was reappointed to a 3-year term.
David was born and raised in Greensboro, NC. He received a BS degree from Appalachian State University and an MBA degree from East Carolina University. He and his wife, Lori have three children and currently live in Greenville, NC. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, playing golf, hockey and traveling.
Derek is the co-founder of Carolina Wealth Management, Inc. He serves as a senior investment advisor to individual and corporate clients. Derek also serves as the firm's liaison with other professional advisors in the area of tax, estate and charitable planning.
As a former U.S. Marine, Derek believes that integrity and transparency are the most important characteristics in a financial advisor. Therefore, he devotes most of his time to educating the public about the "dark secrets" of the brokerage industry. He learned these secrets while working for two national brokerage firms, prior to joining a local independent investment advisory firm.
Derek is actively involved in several community activities including the East Carolina Economics Advancement Council, Southern Pines Rotary Club, Boys and Girls Club of the Sandhills and the Moore County Chamber of Commerce.
Derek lives in Pinehurst with his wife, two children and two dogs.
Duff Meyer, AIF®
Duff is the Director of Qualified Plans at Carolina Wealth Management. He is dedicated to helping plan sponsors understand and remain compliant in the changing regulatory environment.
Additionally, Duff has written several articles and presented to management and human resource organizations on ways to improve your qualified plan. The most popular, Five Steps to a Better Retirement Plan, is a step-by-step guide for plan sponsors to build a better 401k plan. Duff remains a consistent advocate for the plan sponsor, the plan participant and a transparent retirement plan industry.

Duff lives in Pinehurst with his wife and enjoys fishing, golfing and reading.
Client Service ManagerCindy is the Client Service Manager at Carolina Wealth Management.
Cindy joined Carolina Wealth in 2014 after previously working for Charles Schwab & Co. for nine years in Orlando, FL. While at Schwab, Cindy spent five years as part of the Advisor Services Team, where she served as a primary contact for Independent Advisors in the New England area. Additionally, she served in the role of Managed Account Specialist, working as a liaison between Schwab and Invesment Companies throughout the United States.
Cindy enjoys cycling, baseball, photography and dinner with friends. She lives in Pinehurst, NC with her husband and excited to be expecting her first garndchild!
JONATHAN BLACKWELL, CFP®
Qualified Plan ConsultantJonathan is a Qualified Plan Consultant at Carolina Wealth Management. Jonathan has fifteen years of experience working in the financial services industry assisting small to medium size companies in North Carolina. He has also been a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner since 2004.
Actively involved in the Triangle since 1998, he has been through the Leadership Cary program, served on the board of the Lucy Daniels Center and volunteered in the past with the MS150, Jaycees, Junior Achievement and Raleigh, Cary and Garner Chambers of Commerce.
Born and raised outside of Charlotte, Jonathan received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from N.C. State University. He currently resides in Chapel Hill with his wife, daughter, four dogs, cat, seven chickens and two goats. He enjoys mountain biking, fly fishing and working on his mini-farm.
